97. Al-Qadr

We have indeed revealed The Koran in the Night of Power called the Lailatul-Qadar,

And what will we explain to thee what is Lailatul-Qadar (the night of power) is?

The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair,

The night is Peace until the rising of the dawn.

The night is one of the nights during the fasting month of Ramadhan. The value of the single night is equivalent to one thousand months (about 1,000 x 30 nights or 84 years). Any good deeds done on the single night will be rewarded equivalent to doing the good deeds for 1,000 nights.

Sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan (Al-Quran) ini pada Malam Lailatul-Qadar,

Dan apa jalannya engkau dapat mengetahui apa dia kebesaran Malam Lailatul-Qadar itu?
[3]
Malam Lailatul-Qadar lebih baik daripada seribu bulan.
[4]
Pada Malam itu, turun malaikat dan Jibril dengan izin Tuhan mereka, kerana membawa segala perkara (yang ditakdirkan berlakunya pada tahun yang berikut);
[5]
Sejahteralah Malam (yang berkat) itu hingga terbit fajar!
